One of the first posts that I ever published on this blog was 11 Things To Never Travel Without. It's an essential post on any travel blog, but when I wrote that post, I was still so new to travel. I had only been a flight attendant for a few months at that point.
Now that I have been flying for over a year, I had to reevaluate and add some things to my "never travel without" list.
So here are so more of the things that I absolutely always have in my bag when I travel. I have even supplied links for you to quickly add these items to your list!
My lips are always chapped. Always. Since working on planes the dryness of my lips has only gotten worse. Lately I have been unhealthily obsessed with LUSH products. I walked into the store and said "My lips are chapped!" They got me this lip balm and it's the best. Blistex is also a good choice.
Take care of your lips they are important for good kissing.
LUSH stores aren't everyone but you can still buy it on Amazon HERE!
2. Lint Roller
One time I sat on a plane next to a lady that was covered in (what I am hoping was) cat hair. Completely covered from head to toe. So you can only imagine that by the end of the 3 hour flight I was also covered with (what I am hoping was) cat hair from head to toe.
Did I have a lint roller? No.
Did I have to work a flight covered in (what I am hoping was) cat hair? Yes.
Carry lint rollers with you, my friends. This FLINT lint roller is great because it's retractable and refillable and small enough to fit in the small pocket of my suitcase.
3. Hello Breath Spray
For all that is good on this earth please PLEASE buy something ANYTHING that will give you fresh breath. When traveling you are locked up in a small metal tube for hours at a time...the last thing anyone needs is your hot bean water and airplane food breath filling the cabin.
My mom bought me this little spray for Christmas. It fits in my pocket and I look pretty cool when I spray in my mouth as if I'm about to kiss a sexy suitor.
It never happens like that but I can dream it.
4. Harry's Razors & Shave Cream
I have never liked shaving. I hate it. Before I was a flight attendant I would always let my facial hair grow until I just couldn't take it anymore. Since being a flight attendant, I am expected to always be clean cut and trimmed. I shave everyday now.
I have tried all kinds of razors and shaving cream. Gillette, Walmart brand, and even free razors from the hotel I stay at on my layovers.
Harry's Razors are the first affordable razors that I have used that don't tear my skin up. With 5 blades on one side and a precision trimmer on the other, this razor is the best I have ever used, and the shave cream is top notch.
It even comes with a travel cover, and for a small price you can even get your initials engraved on the handle.
You can subscribe to a Harry's Shave Plan HERE!
They also sell their products at Target, and who doesn't love target?
5. JBL SPeaker
Spare your travel mates the horror of hearing you belt Taylor Swift songs in the shower and instead bring this perfect little JBL speaker. It's seriously the best bluetooth speaker I have ever had.
The charge lasts for HOURS, it has great sound quality, and its water and sand proof!
The speaker comes in fun colors too! You can buy it HERE!
6. Tea Tree Water
Like I said previously, the air in airplanes is very dry. Dry skin is not comfortable. When the skin on your face is dry it's uncomfortable and tight and itchy.
Tea tree water is great to relive some of that dryness when traveling. LUSH sells it in a travel size so you don't ever have to worry about getting it through security.
You can click here to purchase your own.
7. Pain/Allergy Meds
I added this to my super travel supply list because I am asked about 106 times a day if I have an Tylenol on me. I do...but you can't have any.
Flight attendants are not allowed to give any kind of medications out to passengers. We have some that come with the plane but from personal experience, I wouldn't say they actually do any good.
Bring your own from home because airports charge you like $7 for two Tylenol.
8. Travel Mug
If you're a big coffee drinker like me, you should always carry one of these bad boys with you. For a couple of reasons:
I got this one from my newest favorite coffee franchise, Caribou Coffee. Isn't it pretty?!
9. World Travel Adapter
A few months ago I found myself in London and unable to charge any of my devices. Because for some reason that I do not know, other countries have different shaped outlets. Normally I can live without my cell phone for however long, but when you're in a foreign country, you should always have a phone on you.
For saftey reasons and also for selfies.
This adapter was company issued, but THIS one looks great too.
10. Multiple USB Wall Charger
Airlines advertise these fancy new plans with outlets for everyone to enjoy. Unfortunately, most aircrafts only give you two outlets per three people. That math doesn't work.
Instead of flighting with your new fly buddy, buy one of these and impress the heck out of him with multiple USB ports. Everyone's phones are charged, no one is angry, and you have a new friend.
Problem solved. Your life is different now.
This one is super neato.
Tell me in the comments what you never travel without!
