In all honesty, 2018 kind of felt like a gap year to me. I don't feel like I accomplished much, which I have to say, isn't a bad thing. After a long and stressful 2017, it was nice to have a year to sit back and relax.
I need to apologize that my gap year also took a toll on how often I was posting here. I once read an article that talked about blogging and how you should only post articles when you feel like you have something meaningful to contribute to the lives of your followers. And in 2018, there wasn't much worth telling.
I hope to change that with this new year, though. I bought myself a nice planner and I have a set plan to keep on track this year.
I wanted to write this quick post to tell you about some of the things I have coming for you this year.
Over the years, a lot of my flying friends have asked if they could write posts for my blog. I went back and forth on this for a long time. This is supposed to be my thing. This is my place to write and vent and teach and inspire.
This blog has been a part of my life now for three years, and I have finally decided to stop being selfish with it. There are more points of views to share than just mine. So, starting today I am now accepting article submissions. These submitted post will fit directly into the main blog feed, but will be labeled with specifically who wrote them. I am excited to introduce my followers to my friends.

Whenever I meet a new person and they find out I am a flight attendant, I always get asked how often I use my flight benefits. I am always embarrassed to say, "Well I travel home to Chicago every couple of months." Three years flying and that is seriously all I've got?
THIS YEAR I WILL TRAVEL. I WILL EXPLORE ON MY OWN. I WILL TAKE CHANCES. And I will write articles about those places.
Places I want to visit this year include:
I wrote a book
This was the biggest part of my 2018. I wrote a whole damn book, and I am self-publishing it this year. I haven't released too much information about it yet, but it's all coming at you this summer!
Taking better care of myself
I started with my skin care routine. Last year I signed up to be a consultant for Rodan + Fields skincare and my oh my, my skin is so happy.
On top of that, I have cut down on my alcohol intake. I am eating healthier foods (no more pizza rolls) and making sure I am in a gym at least three times a week.
Taking and posting more pictures
It's kind of funny considering I own my own photography business, but I have gotten SO bad about posting pictures. For that I have given myself a challenge to post a picture on my instgram at least four times a week!

For the most part, my goal is to grow and expand and bend this website as much as I possibly can. There are so many different aspect to the life of a professional traveler, and I really want this to be a place to expose you to all of them.

WHat are you excited for in 2019?
Three years ago I made the bold (and crazy) decision to drop out of school, quit my job and move across the country to start my life as a cabin crew member. With my suit freshly pressed and my shiny wings pinned to my heart, I was ready to take on the world. ....read more.
